On Saturday, Sept. 21, the ѿappUniversity fight song blared down Main Street, the city of Kent was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their ѿappdays, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with ѿapppride.
Almost 50 years ago, the shootings of ѿappUniversity students by the Ohio National Guard brought to a head the cultural divides that had split the nation. The ѿappUniversity Museum’s exhibition, “Culture/Counterculture: Fashions of the 1960s and ’70s,” opening Sept. 20, explores the sharp contrast between supporters of the establishment and those opposed.

Due to an overwhelming response for free tickets for the ѿappUniversity Presidential Speaker Series featuring Bob Woodward on May 4, the university has moved the event to the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center).
On Saturday, May 4, legendary journalist Bob Woodward comes to ѿappUniversity as part of the Presidential Speaker Series. He will speak at 7 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.
Dillard’s Inc., one of the nation’s premier and largest fashion retailers, will partner with ѿappUniversity’s School of Fashion Design and Merchandising to present the school’s 2019 Annual Fashion Show, FS2.
