Boo U Fall Festival on Thursday, Oct. 27

ѿappUniversity at Stark will host its fall festival, a family-friendly, educational fall celebration for elementary school-aged children. Boo U, which is free and open to the public, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 5-7 p.m. throughout most of the ѿappStark campus, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. The ѿappBiological Anthropology faculty, graduate students, and alumni enjoyed getting together and catching up on Saturday, September 24th. In addition to celebrating 3 decades of Ph.D. recipients that have 100% job placement, we also celebrated the creation of The Department of Anthropology Endowed Fund for Graduate Student Research in Biological Anthropology. National Campus Safety Awareness Month

For the ninth straight year, ѿappUniversity at Stark honored the men and women of our local safety forces by providing a free lunch on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. in recognition of National Campus Safety Awareness Month.   On August 1st, months of discussion culminated in the signing of a five-year Memorandum of Understanding between the Primate Research Institute (PRI) of Kyoto University, Japan, and the Anthropology Department and the School of Biomedical Sciences at ѿappUniversity.  It was signed by Provost Todd Diacon and Dean James Blank representing KSU, and Dr. Takakazu Yumoto, the new director of the PRI. Joining the advisory board are Emil Alecusan, Brent May and Tena Wilson.   Emil Alecusan is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Brewster Cheese in Brewster, OH.
