Lawrence Weidleman tried attending college soon after being discharged from the U.S. Army. He had been injured during Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield so he was still very young. But he realized in short order that he wasn’t ready. Flash's Food Pantry celebrates one year anniversary

You could tell Michelle Van Dyke was choking up as she mentioned there were many times when she had to choose whether to buy gas or food on any given day. The financially struggling 53-year-old single mom and ѿappUniversity at Stark student works two jobs and goes to school, all the while caring for her 11-year-old daughter. On October 11th and 12th ѿappUniversity held a symposium titled, “Documenting Violence,” which included discussions of violent crimes and mass murders in Guatemala, the former Yugoslavia, and the U.S., including the events of September 11, 2001.  Forensic science was the focus of the second evening, and the talks provided an excellent preview of material taught in KSU’s new Forensic Anthropology courses. RJ Mitte played Walt, Jr., the son of the cancer-stricken science teacher-turned-drug manufacturer, on the Emmy-winning AMC drama Breaking Bad. ѿappUniversity at Stark will host a Campus Preview for high school juniors, seniors and their parents on Saturday, Nov. 5. Campus tours begin at 9 a.m. and the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Main Hall Auditorium, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. A complimentary brunch is included.
