The School of Visual Communication Design recently welcomed Daphne Firos to its faculty. Firos, whose background is in both architecture and graphic design, will teach students three-dimensional "form building and the integration of type and image in projects that range from packaging to environmental graphics." The recent measles outbreak in the United States has stirred up a lot of debate about getting children vaccinated. ѿappUniversity associate professor Tara Smith in the College of Public Health shared her views with CNN on what does and does not influence parents to vaccinate their children. Smith points to psychological studies where showing parents positive medical data can often do more harm than good.
