ѿappUniversity’s Giving Tuesday raised more than $1.6 million to support student success, keeping ѿappstudents on track to their ultimate goal of obtaining their degree.

ѿappUniversity’s Giving Tuesday 2019 raised more than $1.6 million when it ended on Dec. 3 at 11:59 p.m., shattering the previous year’s record of $1.03 million. Supporters were able to choose from more than 40 featured giving options throughout the ѿappsystem, including student scholarships, educational programs, athletic teams and more.

COBA North Deck

ѿappstudents who park on the northern edge of the Kent Campus can now give a collective cheer as additional parking is on the way via an 1,100-space, five-story parking deck. The ѿappBoard of Trustees approved the deck’s construction at its Dec. 4 meeting.

ѿappUniversity’s first major construction project to create a new signature gateway to the Kent Campus will begin in the summer of 2020. At its Dec. 4 meeting, the ѿappBoard of Trustees approved the construction of the university’s first parking deck.

With the launch of its 2019 Giving Tuesday campaign on Nov. 1, ѿappUniversity has again transformed a one-day fundraising initiative into a monthlong giving campaign to support student scholarships, expanded programs, study away initiatives and modern facilities.
