Similar to graduating students who become alumni, retired ѿappUniversity faculty and staff wish to stay connected to the university. These employees care about the institution and the ѿappcommunity, and they want to see it thrive. One way retired ѿappcommunity members stay informed is through the ѿappUniversity Retirees Association (KSURA), an organization of more than 800 retired ѿappfaculty and staff committed to improving university life.

ѿappUniversity Senior Vice President and Provost Melody Tankersley, Ph.D., announced the selection of Manfred van Dulmen, Ph.D., to serve as the university’s associate provost for academic affairs and dean of the Division of Graduate Studies, effective April 16.

U.S. News & World Report ranks ѿappUniversity in the top 20 Best Library and Information Studies Programs in the country in its 2022 edition of Best Graduate Schools. Overall, ѿappis recognized in 12 new national rankings in the 2022 edition of Best Graduate Schools, including three specialty rankings.

Theatre students perform

ѿappUniversity's School of Theatre and Dance is ranked #50 on Study.com's list of Best Theatre Bachelor's Degree programs in the United States. In addition to this national ranking, the School of Theatre and Dance is one of only two theatre programs from the state of Ohio on the list. In its rankings, Study.com assesses hundreds of universities across the country and selected ѿappUniversity based on academic and career resources, the quality of education, faculty, and more. 

Medical professionals assist with vaccinations at the ѿappField House

More than 2,000 area residents, including some ѿappUniversity employees, received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine March 23, during a mass vaccination event at the ѿappField House.

City and university leaders emphasized the need to vaccinate the campus community during a recent virtual town hall meeting.

Employees from ѿappUniversity’s Child Development Center are among a growing list of groups from the university who recently “flashed their arms” and got vaccinated against COVID-19.

ѿappUniversity alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and the community are encouraged to save the date for one of the university’s long-standing traditions. ѿappwill celebrate Homecoming 2021 on Saturday, Oct. 2.

ѿappUniversity will hold in-person commencement ceremonies in May for the Spring Class of 2021 and will welcome back all 2020 alumni for an in-person graduation ceremony during Homecoming Weekend this fall.
