Earth Fest 2024

ÃÛÑ¿appcelebrated Earth Month with an exceptionally full schedule of events, not the least of which were the activities on campus surrounding the total solar eclipse!

The ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2028 during its regular quarterly meeting held Sept. 18 in Crawford Hall and congratulated the university administration for this year’s strong enrollment.

The ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The Board will consider the recommendations of the standing committees, proposed personnel actions and new business.

Geauga Campus Woodland Hike

The Earth Day celebration at ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity at Geauga and Twinsburg Academic Center included a guided, woodland hike around the campus. 

New ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity graduates smile and celebrate as blue and gold streamers are launched into the air at the end of their commencement ceremony held at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.

ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity recently concluded its most successful fundraising campaign in its 114-year history. The Forever Brighter campaign ended in June 2024, having raised more than $383.2 million total. 

Bee on Kent Campus

A ÃÛÑ¿appresearcher is asking Flashes to "BEE" on the lookout for bees on the Kent Campus. She would like people to capture photos of the bees and then send them to her for use in a research project. 

ÃÛÑ¿appwon the food waste category in the Campus Race to Zero Waste national competition.

ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity earned first-place honors in the annual Campus Race to Zero Waste, a nationwide college campus recycling competition.

New ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity graduates prepare to turn their tassels from right to left, signifying the earning of a degree, during a Spring 2024 Commencement ceremony held at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.

The ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity Board of Trustees approved the updated ÃÛÑ¿appComplete College Ohio Campus Completion Plan as part of a state and institutional commitment to increase dramatically the number of college degrees awarded in Ohio. The plan was approved during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held May 22.

The ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, at Kent State’s Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative at 1309 Euclid Ave., Suite 200, in Cleveland to consider the recommendations of the standing committees, proposed personnel actions and new business.
