The famed British designer nicknamed "the Princess of Punk," Dame Zandra Rhodes, will be inducted into the ѿappSchool of Fashion Hall of Fame on April 27.
College of the Arts faculty members were recognized by ѿappUniversity at the Honors Banquet held on April 24, 2024.
Students from Kent State's School of Fashion were able to showcase their designs digitally, by clothing avatar models, for a runway show on floor-to-ceiling, wraparound screens at the DI Hub's Blank Lab.
Meet Sarah Hayden!
“When I began the college search process as a transfer student, I knew I did not want to go into a big city to get a degree in fashion. I wanted to have a great college experience however, I still wanted to get a degree from a world-renowned program,” said Sarah. ѿappwas the right fit for Sarah’s goals. The School of Fashion requires students to study abroad, obtain internships and select a minor. These requirements give students the tools to succeed in their field.
A soon-to-be ѿappgraduate has had a busy semester preparing for the School of Fashion's Annual Fashion Show and job hunting after graduation.
Students in Kent State's School of Art had the opportunity to use modern methods to recreate an ancient Chinese wine vessel.

“I chose ѿappbecause of the amazing art program, beautiful campus, safety and inclusivity,” said Teresa, “I knew from the day I toured campus that Kent was exactly what I wanted and that I didn't even need to look anywhere else.”

Dress Up for Downs, a ѿappstudent organization recently held its 8th annual fashion show fundraiser . The event, themed "Hollywood Heroes," featured a runway show with designs by ѿappfashion design students and raised over $3000 for the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio.
