ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity, the city of Kent and the Portage Area Regional Transit Authority (PARTA) jointly have committed to the economic development of retail/entertainment areas serving students, employees and guests of the university and the city.
ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity’s first major construction project to create a new signature gateway to the Kent Campus will begin in the summer of 2020. At its Dec. 4 meeting, the ÃÛÑ¿appBoard of Trustees approved the construction of the university’s first parking deck.
ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity’s long-standing relationship with the Tuscarawas County University Branch District to administer the Tuscarawas Campus of ÃÛÑ¿appwill continue through June 30, 2030, in a new 10-year agreement approved by the ÃÛÑ¿appBoard of Trustees.
The ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity Board of Trustees on Wednesday unanimously approved a new collective bargaining agreement with the ÃÛÑ¿appChapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP-KSU), which represents tenured and tenure-track faculty.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Ann Womer Benjamin, J.D., of Aurora, Ohio, to the ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity Board of Trustees. Her appointment began June 21, 2019, and ends May 16, 2028.
