Salem – ѿappUniversity at Salem recently held its annual awards ceremony, during which students were recognized for their academic excellence, scholastic achievements and service to the campus. Also during the event, Consumers National Bank was presented the 2015 Friends of the Campus award, the highest honor presented annually to non-students. The university held its Spring Commencement ceremonies for the Kent Campus on May 8 and May 9 at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center). This spring, ѿappconferred 3,883 degrees, including 2,864 bachelor’s degrees, 874 master’s degrees, 142 doctoral degrees and three educational specialist degrees at the Kent Campus. ѿappUniversity’s College of Public Health was one of the partners recently honored by Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray with the Ohio Distinguished Law Enforcement Group Achievement Award for 2010. ѿappwas recognized for its role in the Akron Fugitive Safe Surrender program in 2009. For Natalia Román, being awarded a Women’s Center Scholarship, is one of several honors earned as a student at ѿappUniversity. Román is a student in the School of Communication Studies and was one of three students university-wide presented a scholarship during the Women’s Center annual Mothers, Mentors and Muses reception held in March.
