School's Out Adventures

Spend the day off of school with the KSU Adventure Center TEAL program. TEAL stands for Trips of Experiential & Adventure Learning. Your child will take a trip to KSU to spend their day learning about themselves, others, and nature doing things like rock climbing, teambuilding, high ropes, making crafts, shooting archery, kayaking in our pool, and more! Activities will be age-appropriate (K - 5th graders welcome) and hands-on. Bring a swimsuit, towel, lunch, and snacks. Contact clukas@kent.edu with any questions.
Cost: $45 per day

This two-and-a-half hour program covers the basics of indoor climbing including equipment, bouldering, top rope climbing, and belaying with an ATC and Gri-gri device. This program sets up an individual with no prior experience to take our belay test which is required when purchasing a climbing wall membership. Contact recwelladventurecenter@kent.edu with any questions. Pre-registration is required

SRC Vitalant Blood Drive

The Student Recreation Council has partnered with Vitalant to enable the campus community to experience the opportunity of saving a life. For every 50 units of blood collected throughout the academic year, Vitalant will award a $500 tuition scholarship to a ѿappUniversity student.

Scheduled appointments will be taken before walk-ins.

Pool Kayak Session

New kayakers can come learn kayaking skills. Experienced kayakers can practice their skills. Participants may bring their own boats via the loading dock stairs and back entrance as long as the boats are FULLY CLEANED before entering the pool. If you don’t own a boat, one will be provided for you to use. Pre-registration IS REQUIRED by the Wednesday before each program. Cost: $7

AromaYoga Workshop

Step into a serene and fragrant ambiance where you will have the chance to make your own customized body scrub. While you are basking in the scent of your own creation, relax and unwind with a multilevel yoga class led by our amazing instructor.
Cost: Student $10, Member $15, Non-member $20

Wellness Wednesday

Free weekly event every Wednesday during the academic year providing wellness education, interactive activities, and giveaways. Participants do not need to be present the entire time.

Pause for Puppies: Gobbler Edition

Join ѿappRecWell instructors and Freedom Paws for the return of our Pause for Puppies yoga events. Take time out of your day for photo ops with the puppies, a puppy “Kissing Booth” and, of course, Puppy Yoga. This event is a fundraiser for the ѿappFreedom Paws organization. Your donations will go directly towards the dogs living and medical expenses while they are in “school”. This event will fill up fast, so be sure to register ahead of time to reserve your spot. IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MAT.
