In late Sept., several ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity Glauser School Music Education faculty members presented their latest work during research poster sessions at the biennial Symposium of the Society for Music Teacher Education (SMTE). The 2021 symposium was held virtually.
It’s been a busy 2021 for Danna Sundet, ÃÛÑ¿appprofessor of oboe and alumna. Between performances and making recordings, running the John Mack Oboe Camp and starting a new venture on YouTube, Sundet has continued teaching a robust studio of young oboists at ÃÛÑ¿appand pursuing outside projects despite the challenges posed by Covid-19.
Beginning this fall, the ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity Glauser School of Music will welcome Jasmine Hines to the music education department as an assistant professor. Her appointment in the newly created position follows a rigorous national search with a specialty in choral music education.
