Sarah Shendy, ’06, has been appointment as the first Director, Ohio Office of Law Enforcement Recruitment. Had it not been for ѿappUniversity, she may have never gone into law enforcement.

ѿappUniversity brought home the gold after this year’s Akron ADDY Awards, with both professionals and students being recognized for their work. The ADDYs, put on by the Akron Chapter of the American Advertising Federation, celebrate the area’s best creative work in advertising.

ѿappUniversity announced the creation of the Pay It Flash Forward Emergency Fund that will help students who are unexpectedly finding themselves in financial need as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

ѿappUniversity announced the creation of the ѿappEmergency Grant Fund that will help students who are unexpectedly finding themselves in financial need as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

ѿappUniversity’s Giving Tuesday raised more than $1.6 million to support student success, keeping ѿappstudents on track to their ultimate goal of obtaining their degree.

ѿappUniversity’s Giving Tuesday 2019 raised more than $1.6 million when it ended on Dec. 3 at 11:59 p.m., shattering the previous year’s record of $1.03 million. Supporters were able to choose from more than 40 featured giving options throughout the ѿappsystem, including student scholarships, educational programs, athletic teams and more.
