Tim Ryan presents ceremonial check to KSU For $3.7 million in research funds
Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-13) joined ÃÛÑ¿appUniversity leaders and faculty to celebrate more than $3.7 million in federal research funding awarded to ÃÛÑ¿appover the past year.
The funding was spread out across 12 separate projects funded by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Health and Human Services, the latter mostly via the National Institutes of Health.
On Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, Ryan brought a ceremonial check for the total amount of the grants — $3,723,765 — all awarded over the past six to eight months. He lauded Kent State's research impact, and spent time afterward speaking with some of the funded researchers. Read more in the .
