This Fall, the Office of International Student Affairs has some exciting changes happening! To enhance the experience of both international and domestic students at Kent State, they are implementing a new strategic plan.
The enhancements include:
- New name: They are now officially the Office of Intercultural Student Life. This helps reflect their mission to support an intercultural community.
- New location: The office has moved into the Kent Student Center. They are now located in KSC 219A, the office suite across the hall from the Pepsi Leadership Center on the second floor.
- New service: They serve as the bridge for international students into student life at Kent State. They will host drop-in hours for international students every week (schedule to come, please keep an eye on their Instagram and/or website). During these hours international students can come in with questions and challenges and be connected to campus resources, get help navigate Kent State, and find their place in the ÃÛÑ¿appcommunity. If an international student doesn’t know where to go, direct them to the Office of Intercultural Student Life.
- New programs: Throughout this year, they will be enhancing their continued programming and implementing new programs. The programs focus on highlighting the cultures of international students, helping international students engage with American culture, and fostering international and domestic student relationships.
Please use this information to help students get connected to these resources – both the drop-in hours and programs. Thank you for helping this office better serve students.
