High School to ÃÛÑ¿appCollege of Nursing Transition

The requirement for admission to the College of Nursing requires documented success in a series of biology courses, and a minimum of (1) chemistry course.  It is recommended that students either have this class completed, or in progress, at the time of application.

High school students looking to lessen their time to degree should consider a few options. The program requires Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2, a general chemistry course, microbiology, and a college level stats course. If students are able to gain college credits in chemistry and anatomy and physiology 1, it may save the student a full semester.  If students can complete all five requirements, it may save the student a full academic year. Even with complete alignment, the most amount of time a student can potentially get ahead is one academic year.
