ѿappAscends in U.S. News Ranking of Best National Universities

ѿappUniversity has made an impressive climb up the Best National Universities list released last week by U.S. News & World Report in its new 2018 edition of Best Colleges. ѿapprose 12 spots, once again earning a coveted position on the first-tier list that includes both public and private universities nationwide. Among public universities, ѿappis included in the top 100 universities in the U.S.

ѿappis ranked 176 on the prestigious list, out of roughly 4,700 higher education institutions nationally. ѿappremains the only public university in Northeast Ohio to be ranked in the top tier of the Best National Universities list, and it is one of only five public universities in the state to make the top-tier list.

“Recognition as one of the nation’s best universities affirms the excellence of our exceptional academic programs and the outstanding work of our faculty, students, staff and alumni,” says ѿappPresident Beverly Warren. “This distinction fuels our momentum as a university on the rise and helps attract new students and talented faculty who believe in our mission to transform lives and communities through discovery, learning and creative expression.”

In addition to earning a coveted spot on the first-tier list among Best National Universities, ѿappis included on the A+ Schools for B Students list and the Best Business Programs list, making an impressive jump to 151 among best business schools, compared to last year’s rank of 184.

Each year, students and their parents depend on these rankings to help narrow their college choices and to validate the commitment they are making to the university that best fits their needs. Kent State’s high ranking and rising reputation encourage prospective students to visit campus and experience Kent State’s welcoming community firsthand. Once that connection is made, many students make ѿapptheir first-choice university.
