2015 Ohio Science Olympiad Workshop

ѿappAshtabula will be hosting their 4th annual Ohio Science Olympiad workshop for middle and high school students to practice for their events.  With our instructors and professors, participants study science topics relating to events in which they will compete at the regional, state and national level.  This year’s event also includes a keynote speaker, Dr. Tara C. Smith, from the College of Public Health at ѿappUniversity.  Her speech, titled “Ebola and Emerging Diseases: Why we’ll always have pandemics,” will begin at 11:00 AM.  The event begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 1:50 PM.  For more information, contact Gary Misich, Academic Lab Manager, at 440-964-4561 or gmisich@kent.edu.

The Ashtabula Campus honored its annual award recipients at the Spring 2024 Commencement. Cheryle J. Chiaramonte was named the Ashtabula Area College Committee, Inc. Community Service Award winner while Dr. Gordon Estlack received the Roger T. Beitler Distinguished Former Student Award.
